Team workshop with sticky notes on a glass wall

Migration readiness stages

A practical sequence we use with clients before anyone provisions a production account in a new region. Stages can overlap; the order matters more than the calendar labels.

  1. Inventory truth

List running services, owners, and data classes. Replace “we think” diagrams with exports from your repo and monitoring where possible.

  2. Code and config review

Book the cloud application code review to surface hard-coded hosts, secret sprawl, and missing health checks.

  3. Target shape decisions

Use an architecture assessment to agree what moves together, what stays behind a VPN, and what needs rewriting.

  4. Roadmap and rehearsals

The migration roadmap turns decisions into phases, rollback triggers, and comms templates for support desks.

  5. Cutover and observation

Your team executes; we remain available on a follow-on day rate if you want an independent observer during the first 72 hours in the new environment.

Tell us your target quarter and the primary language of the codebase. We will suggest which engagement fits first.
